Are we about to witness a historic collaboration between two of the most popular artists in the world? That’s what many fans are hoping for after rumors of a possible collaboration between BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Zayn Malik surfaced online.
Rosé, the main vocalist and lead dancer of the global girl group BLACKPINK, has been making waves as a solo artist with her debut single album -R-, which was released in March 2021. The album features two songs, “On The Ground” and “Gone”, both of which showcase Rosé’s unique vocal color and musical style. Rosé has also been praised for her stunning visuals and charismatic stage presence. Rosé also released a new solo track as part of BLACKPINK’s second studio album “Born Pink” titled “Hard To Love”.
Zayn Malik, on the other hand, is a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction. He left the group in 2015 to pursue a solo career and has since released three albums: Mind of Mine (2016), Icarus Falls (2018), and Nobody Is Listening (2021). Zayn is known for his distinctive R&B and pop sound, as well as his collaborations with other artists such as Taylor Swift, Sia, and Zhavia Ward.
The rumors of a collaboration between Rosé and Zayn started when some media outlets reported that Zayn was in New York to work on his upcoming album. Apparently, earlier Rosé was also spotted at a recording studio in the same city, leading some fans to speculate that they might be working on a song together. Adding fuel to the fire, Zayn’s current manager, Cola Carson, recently followed Rosé’s personal Instagram account, which has over 70 million followers.
Neither Rosé nor Zayn have confirmed or denied the rumors, but that hasn’t stopped fans from expressing their excitement and curiosity on social media platforms such as Twitter. Some fans have even created fan-made edits and videos to imagine what a Rosé-Zayn collaboration would look like.
