BLACKPINK’s ‘BORN PINK World Tour’ Generates 100 Billion Won, Enough to Construct Two New YG Buildings

BLACKPINK, the South Korean girl group, has broken records once again with their ‘BORN PINK World Tour.’ According to Touring Data, a US concert tour box office aggregation company, BLACKPINK is the highest-grossing girl group in the world from a single tour, generating 100 billion won in just two months.

The group’s second world tour, ‘BORN PINK,’ has held 26 performances so far, mobilizing a total of 366,248 people and earning approximately 104.8 billion won. This amount is enough to build two new YG buildings since approximately 41.6 billion won was spent on YG’s newly created building.

The previous record was held by the Spice Girls, who earned $78.2 million (KRW 104.475 billion) from 11 world tours in 2019. BLACKPINK has shattered this record, cementing their status as one of the world’s most popular girl groups.

The ‘BORN PINK World Tour’ is the second global concert tour by Blackpink in support of their second Korean studio album, ‘Born Pink.’ The tour kicked off on October 15, 2022, in Seoul, South Korea, and will wrap up on July 15, 2023, in Paris, France. Over the course of the tour, Blackpink will have performed in 21 countries across four continents.

Encore performances are also planned in Europe and Bangkok, with an expected audience of about 1.5 million and an expected income exceeding 300 billion won. This impressive achievement highlights the global popularity of BLACKPINK and their ability to break boundaries and achieve new heights in the music industry.

The group’s success is not limited to their music, as they have also made strides in the fashion and beauty industries. BLACKPINK members have been named global ambassadors for top brands such as Chanel, YSL, Tiffany & Co, Bulgari, Celine, Cartier, Dior, and MAC, further solidifying their influence and impact on the global stage.

As BLACKPINK continues to make history and break records, fans eagerly anticipate their future projects.
