BLACKPINK’s Rosé Crowned Best Female K-Pop Vocalist in Massive 10-Million-Vote Poll

Rosé is often called the golden voice of Korea. The BLACKPINK singer has been impressing audiences with her soulful vocals since her debut in 2016. She is widely regarded as one of the most talented vocalists in the industry, and now she has the votes to prove it.

Rosé recently topped a popular online poll conducted by KingChoice, a website that allows fans to vote for their favorite celebrities and idols. The poll, which ran from April 1 to April 30, asked fans to choose the best vocalists ever in K-Pop out of 100 nominees. The poll received around 10 million votes from fans all over the world.

Rosé ranked 4th overall in the poll, beating out many other renowned singers. She is the only female artist in the top 5, and the highest-ranking female soloist. The top 3 spots went to #3 U-Know (TVXQ), #2 Jin (BTS), and #1 Yesung (Super Junior).

In March 2021, Rosé released her single album R, which showcased her versatility and charisma as a singer. The album sold 448,089 copies in its first week, setting a new record for the highest first-week sales for a Korean female soloist.

The album’s lead single “On the Ground” was a global hit, reaching the top five on the Gaon Digital Chart in South Korea and becoming the highest-charting song by a Korean female soloist on the US Billboard Hot 100, the ARIA Singles Chart in Australia and the UK Singles Chart. It also became the first song by a Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Global 200 chart and earned Rosé two Guinness World Records.

The album’s second single “Gone” was also well-received by fans and critics alike, peaking at number 6 on the Gaon Digital Chart and number 29 on the Billboard Global 200 chart. The song showcased Rosé’s emotional delivery and vocal range. Rosé also recently released a new solo song under BLACKPINK’s profile in the group’s second studio album Born Pink. The song, named Hard To Love, has reached over 100 million streams on Spotify.

Rosé’s success as a solo artist does not diminish her role as a member of BLACKPINK, one of the most popular girl groups in K-Pop history. Rosé has been an integral part of BLACKPINK’s music and performances since their debut in 2016. She has contributed to all of their hit songs, such as “Whistle”, “Playing with Fire”, “Stay”, “As If It’s Your Last”, “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du”, “Kill This Love”, “How You Like That” and “Lovesick Girls”.

Rosé is not only a talented singer, but also a fashion icon and a role model for many young people. She is known for her chic and elegant style, which has landed her endorsements with brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Sulwhasoo, Tiffany & Co. She has graced the covers of magazines such as Elle Korea, Dazed Korea, W Korea and Vogue Korea.
