The fanmeet was organized by SimInvest, an Indonesian investment platform that announced Taehyung as their brand ambassador in March 2023. The event was held on June 11, and only a few lucky fans who won a lottery were able to attend and meet Taehyung in person.
At the fanmeet, Taehyung expressed his gratitude to SimInvest for allowing him to get closer to his Indonesian fans. He said, “SimInvest allowed me to get closer to Indonesian Armys. I’m very grateful.” He also revealed that he participated in the overall directing of the ad campaign for SimInvest. He said, “I personally participated in order to express my feelings better.”
Taehyung also talked about his musical journey and aspirations. He said, “Since I was 12 years old, I wanted to be a singer and be on stage and now my dream has come true.” He added that he still has many goals and dreams to achieve as an artist.
One of those dreams is to release his solo album, which will be the last among the BTS members to do so. Jungkook, who is also preparing for his solo debut, is expected to drop his album in July. Taehyung said that he is working hard on his songs and that he gets inspiration from various sources.
He said, “These days? When I work on songs, I feel the emotions from when I was on tour. I also get inspiration from the weather. Winter especially.” He hinted that his album might be released in winter, as he said, “There are lots of winter events. There is Christmas and my birthday as well.”
Taehyung’s birthday is on December 30, which means that fans might get a special gift from him before the year ends. However, he did not confirm any specific date or title for his album yet.
