Stray Kids and NCT are two of the most popular K-pop groups in the world, but did you know that they also have a cute friendship? Recently, fans were delighted to see Stray Kids’ Felix and NCT’s Taeyong interact on social media, proving that they are more than just colleagues.
The two idols met during their music show promotions a few weeks ago, when Stray Kids released their third full album 5-Star and Taeyong made his solo debut with his EP Shalala.
They were spotted having fun and laughing together at Music Bank, even copying each other’s choreography. Taeyong also congratulated Felix for Stray Kids’ win with their title track “S-Class”, giving him a double handshake.
Their friendship continued online when Felix posted some selfies on Stray Kids’ official Instagram account. Taeyong, who does not follow Stray Kids on his main account, liked the post and commented “Kawai”, which means cute in Japanese.
Fans were amused by this gesture, and praised Taeyong for being supportive of his new friend. Some fans also noticed that Felix’s post was not the most recent one on Stray Kids’ page, which means that Taeyong specifically searched for it.
Taeyong is the first soloist from NCT, and his EP Shalala has received positive reviews from critics and fans alike. The album showcases Taeyong’s versatility as an artist, as he explores different genres and themes in his songs. He also co-wrote all the tracks, revealing his personal stories and emotions. NME’s Carmen Chin gave Shalala four out of five stars, and complimented Taeyong’s “down-to-earth” songwriting and “emotional” performance.
Stray Kids, on the other hand, have been dominating the charts with their third album 5-Star, which features 13 songs that highlight their unique style and sound. Their title track “S-Class” is a catchy and energetic song.
We hope to see more of Felix and Taeyong’s friendship in the future, and we wish them both success with their music!
