How does the actor game work?

You are shown films from one actor’s career, one at a time, and have to name them. The first credit shown is the least recognisable of the set, so each further film makes it easier.

How many credits do you get?

Up to five. Naming the actor from a single credit is worth 1,000 points, dropping to 800, 600, 400 and 200 as more appear.

Which actors can come up?

Only actors with at least three films on ViralTakes, so there is always enough of a career to go on. Voice roles in animated features count as credits.

Do I need an account?

No. The game is free and your streak and stats are stored on the device you play on.

What makes it harder than it sounds

The order is against you

Credits are sorted hardest first. The film you would have recognised instantly is the one held back until last.

Ensemble casts blur

Plenty of films share three or four billed names, so a single credit can point at several careers at once.

Voice roles count

Animated features list their voice cast, which catches people out when a familiar name turns up somewhere unexpected.

Decades apart

A career spanning thirty years looks nothing like the same actor when you only see two of the films.
